(Major step forward)….It was taken by the Imperial City Council recently.
They approved a zone change and a general plan amendment. The action allows for a major apartment complex. It includes the transformation of 12 Street to 15th Street for the development of an 80 unit multi-family apartment complex. The action by the council was needed to bring the project closer to compliance with the State of California’s Regional Housing needs Allocation numbers. No dates for the project have been released, and probably won’t be until the project is completely approved.
