The 2019 C.I.F. - San Diego Section high school football play off schedule has been announced.
In Division 5 the Vincent Memorial Scots of coach David Wong earned the #1 seed. The Scots put together a 9 - 1 record with a Manzanita League record of 3 - 0. They will enjoy a bye in the first round. The Holtville Vikings of coach Jason Turner compiled a 2 -1 record in Manzanita League action and were 8 - 2 overall. The Vikings also earned a bye with a number 3 seed. The Palo Verde Valley Yellowjackets also made the Division 5 play offs. Coach Wally Grant's team finished 2 - 3 in the Imperial Valley League and 5 - 5 overall. The Yellowjackets are seeded #7 and will host the #10 seed Clairmont Chieftains who finished with a 4 - 6 record and 1 -3 in Central League play. The Redhawks of Mountain Empire earned a #9 seed with a 2 - 7 record and 0 - 2 Manzanita League play. The Bernard Vann coached Redhawks will travel to meet the #8 seeded El Cajon Valley Braves. The Braves are 3 - 7 with a 0 - 4 record in the Grossmont - Valley League.
The Division 3 pairings will see the #5 seeded Central Spartans , 8 - 2 overall and 5 - 0 in Imperial Valley League action , will meet the #12 seeded Sun Devils of Mt. Carmel. Coach David Pena's Spartans will host the game at Cal Jones Field. The Sun Devils are 4 - 6 overall and 2 - 3 in Palomar League play. The Brawley Wildcats of coach Jon Self earned a #7 seed with a 7 - 3 record , 4 - 1 in IVL action. The Wildcats will host the #10 seeded Kearney Komets who finished the regular season at 5 - 5 , 2 - 2 in City League. The Imperial Tigers will hit the road to take on the #6 seed Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders. Coach Kerry Legarra's Tigers are 5- 5 overall and 3 - 2 in the Imperial Valley League. The Crusaders finished Metro-Mesa League play at 3 - 1 with a 6 - 4 overall record.
