(Results released)…They were released by the California Department of Education.
They are for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress, the summative assessments for English language arts/literacy and Mathematics. The Imperial County Office of Education says each spring, students in grades 3rd thru 8th and grade 11 take these statewide assessments. In 2018-2019, 19,308 Imperial County Students took the CAASPP. The ICOE says the results indicate the local students are continuing to show growth in both ELA and Math, they are outperforming the comparable counties, they are improving faster than the state, and there is still work to be done in relation to the academic achievement within the student subgroups.
