Customs and Border Protection officers at the San Luis Port of Entry arrested 3 US Citizens and two Mexican nationals in the attempts. The narcotics included almost 149 pounds of methamphetamine and Fentanyl. A 37 year old Memphis woman was found with a package of narcotics strapped to her torso. The officers discovered $270,000 worth of meth and $41,000 worth of Fentanyl in a mini van driven by a 48 year old woman from Mexico. A 25 year old male US citizen was found walking across the border with 2 pounds of meth strapped to his thighs. 49 pounds of meth was found in a van driven by a 34 year old Yuma woman. And a 51 year old Mexican citizen was found with a package of meth stuffed in the waist of his pants. The package contained 4 pounds of meth valued at $12,000. CBP officers seized the narcotics and vehicles involved. The subjects were arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations agents for further processing.
