(RFP’s sought)…The Imperial County Department of Social Services has issued the Request For Proposals.
They are seeking qualified applicants to address the immediate emergency needs of homeless individuals and individuals at imminent risk of homeless in the Imperial County. In September last year the State of California Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council, in conjunction with the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency announced the availability of the Homeless Emergency Aid Program grant funding. HEAP is a statewide $500 million block grant Program designed to provide direct assistance to cities, counties and Continuums of Care to address the homelessness crisis throughout California. The local Social Services Department is the authorized Administrative entity for the Imperial Valley Continuum of Care Council’s allocation of HEAP funds and will be awarding over $4.6 million through this RFP. Qualified applicants should submit proposals no later than 2:00 pm, Friday May 3rd. RFP and additional information is available at the County of Imperial Purchasing website or at the IVCCC website. Applicants must also attend one of two workshops. The first, April 10th at the CAWorks building starts at 9:30 am. The other workshop on Friday, April 12th, starts at 1:30 pm at the Cal Works building in El Centro.
