(The County Board of Supervisors meet Tuesday)…They go into Public Session at 9:30 in the morning.
The Supervisors will conduct Public Hearings at 9:40. The first will deal with a Resolution to reaffirm or modify the rates of the Commercial Cannabis Activity Taxes, approved by voters during the June 5th Primary Election. Another Public Hearing will deal with issues concerning the Titan 2 Solar Project. A third Public Hearing will deal with issues relating to the Laurel Cluster Solar Farm Project. Also at the meeting Board Chairman Ryan Kelley will announce his appointments for this year, and they will discuss meeting structure according to the Board of Supervisors Rules of Conduct. The Supervisors will also be asked to approve the Board’s meeting calendar for this year. The Board will be asked to approve a letter supporting a request to the State Governor to move quickly to allow the cultivation of industrial Hemp and the sale of hemp derived products. The Supervisors meet in the Board Chambers in the Administration center on Main Street in El Centro.
