(Las Primeras Honorees for 2018)…They will be formally introduced Thursday.

The introductions will be at the MANA de Imperial Valley Media event/Memberships Mixer. It will be held at Junior’s Café, 1791 West Adams Avenue in El Centro. The 3 2018 Las Primeras Honorees are Keila Rodriguez, Principal at Meadows Union School District, Dr. Martha Garcia, Imperial Valley College President, and Margaret Sauza, Executive Director for Sure Helpline Crisis Center. Las Primeras provides Imperial Valley with the opportunity of celebrating positive leadership of Latinas in Imperial County, honoring women everyone can look to as a role model. The honorees will be recognized at an annual Gala event in October. Proceeds of the event are used to fund College Scholarships and cultural programs in Imperial County. The formal introduction of the honorees Thursday will begin at 6:30 pm.
