(Almost $400,000 of Meth Seized)…It happened last week
. Customs and Border Protection officer at the Andrade Port was conducting primary inspections. The officer encountered a 64-year-old Guatemalan Citizen, legal resident of the United States. He was driving a Windstar. During the inspection, a canine team alerted to the vehicle. The officer sent the vehicle and driver to the secondary inspection area. At secondary officers found 152 wrapped packages of methamphetamine inside the vehicle quarter panels and in the spare tire. The narcotics weighed 158 pounds with an estimated street value of $395,000. The Driver, a resident of San Luis, Arizona, was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations agents for further processing. He was transported to Imperial County Jail to await arraignment. The vehicle and narcotics were seized by the CBP.
