(3 Alarm Fire)…It was reported at around 3:00 Thursday afternoon.

The fire was on the New River bank, south of the Rio Bend RV Park, near Seeley. Officials say the 3rd alarm was sounded, not because of the fire, but because of the high temperatures. The temperatures were reportedly over 110 degrees at the time. The extra personnel were used to rotate fresh crews every once in awhile. The Red Cross was on hand to keep the crews hydrated. Fire Fighters were able to contain the fire at two acres. Officials say the fire burned over-grown old salt cedar plants. No injuries were reported.
