(Funding for the Area Agency on Aging)…The County Board of Supervisors will discuss it Tuesday
. The Board will be asked to approve an agreement with the California Department of Aging. That agreement would provide around $861,481 for the Triple A. Also at their weekly meeting, the Board will discuss supporting Proposition 68 on the June Ballot. The California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection and Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018 would provide millions of dollars for the Salton Sea Restoration. The Supervisors will be asked to support Proposition 69 on the June Ballot and oppose Senate Bill 1 repeal efforts. A presentation will be made by Esperanza Colio Warren, Manager of Community and Economic Development. The presentation will be on Opportunity Zones. She will explain what the Zones are and how the County can participate.
