(Gusty winds overnight)…Those winds created a lot of dust in the air
Especially in the Brawley area. The 37-mile per hour winds elevated the levels of PM 10. The Air Pollution Control district issued an Air Quality Alert for the Brawley area at 1:00 Wednesday morning. Air Quality was listed as Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups. By sunrise the winds had died down, and the levels of PM 10 had lowered. PM 10 is mostly dust in the air. By 6:00 Wednesday morning air quality was listed as good throughout the County.
