Nominations are open for an Imperial County Veteran of the Year.

The award is to honor veterans who have completed their military service and continue to make a positive impact on the community. Selection criteria include character and integrity, community service and involvement, veteran advocacy, leadership, and patriotism. Deadline for nominations is Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Nomination forms are available at the Clerk of the Boards office in the Imperial County Administration Building, El Centro.
