El Centro Fire Department battled a two-alarm structure fire Wednesday night.

The fire, at Brunners Inn and Suites, in the 200 block of North Imperial Avenue, was reported at about 8:30 p.m. A second alarm was issued shortly after firefighters arrived and mutual aid was provided by Imperial County and Holtville Fire Departments. Traffic had to be rerouted in the area as emergency crews battled the fire.
