The California Highway Patrol El Centro Area has entered a new era.

After more than 70 years at their headquarters on Highway 86 in Imperial they have moved to a South 4th Street facility in El Centro. The new facility, in the works for nearly 30 years, is officially open. The expanded headquarters includes much larger space for the increasing demands of todays law enforcement. The old facility is planned to become the new City of Imperial Police Department headquarters.
