(It was originally reported as a wrong way driver)....That report came in at 2:49 Monday morning.

The vehicle was traveling the wrong way on Highway 98 Just East of Rockwood Road, the vehicle went into a canal. The California Highway Patrol says the driver was able to get out of the vehicle. They say he may have been driving under the influence. The driver was taken to El Centro Regional Medical Center to check for injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
