Three small earthquakes were recorded early Thursday morning.

The first measured 3.1 and occurred at 12:14 a.m. A second magnitude 3.6 quake was recorded at 12:32 a.m. and the third, magnitude 3.4, at1:49 a.m. The epicenter for all three earthquakes was about 4.5 south of Brawley.
