(It is Parks and Recreation Month)....The El Centro City Council approved the declaration earlier in July.

The Council presented the Department with a plaque. They said Parks are very popular in the city, with over 500,000 people visiting Bucklin Park in the last fiscal year. Over 122,000 visited Carlos Aguilar Park, Swarthout had over 99,000. There were over 81,000 visitors at First Responders Park, the Aquatic Center had over 75,800 visitors and almost 32,000 visited Bark Park.
