The Board is recommending  replacing the current Southern Airways Express with Advanced Air. Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation says the change would cost Imperial Valley a direct link to Los Angeles International Airport. IVEDC says the LAX link is very important to businesses, government emoployees and more. It provides a connection to other flights. Advanced flies into Hawthorne, with no automatic connections.
