Do you know a Hometown Hero?

Imperial County is full of heroes, and the American Red Cross would like your help in recognizing them. Hometown Heroes are the individuals who step up in extraordinary way to help others, save lives or strengthen their communities. Anything making a bold, lifesaving act to quiet moments of courage, we all know someone who fits the description. Nominating a hero can be done online at redcross.org/sandiego. Nominations are due by Friday, July 24, 2026. Honorees will be celebrated across eight categories on October 2, 2026, aboard the USS Midway Museum.
