Another election update has been released by the Imperial County Registrar of Voters.

As of Friday night 18,604 ballots have been processed by the Elections Department, that's a 19.6% voter turnout so far. 

Imperial Irrigation District Division 1 has Alex Cardenas leading Carlos Duran 2,310 votes to 1,149.

Imperial Irrigation District Division 5 incumbent Karin Eugenio has 2,483 votes to 1,616 for Eric Rodriguez.

Board of Supervisors Division 1 has Enrique Alvarado with 1,507, Jesus Eduardo Escobar 839 and Joong Kim 711. Alvarado so far is slightly shy of 50% plus 1 to avoid a November runoff.

Board of Supervisors Division 5 incumbent John Hawk has 1,378 votes, 41.56%. Patricia Lizarraga has 1,011 and Lorena Minor-Montes 927 votes.

County Assessor Robert Menvielle has 8.929 votes to 8,444 for Ricardo Avila.

Superior Court Seat 1 has Ben Salorio leading Veonica Henderson 9,218 to 8,188.
