(Imperial Irrigation District has 3 grant programs)...The 3 programs are designed to save energy, create greener spaces, and provide safer lighting to communities across the District's service area.

Schools, Parks and Community spaces across the Imperial and Coachella Valleys will benefit from the energy-saving upgrades, expanded shade, greener outdoor areas and improved lighting thru more than $2.5 million in IID Grant funding. The 2026 programs are; Grants for Energy Modernization in Schools or Gems. Tree for all-Public Green Space Grants, and Lighting For Outdoor Wellness. Applications were submitted for the GEMS program in February Application for Tree for All were submitted in March. Applications for the GLOW, lighting program were accepted in March and April. Award notifications will be announced in phases throughout 2026. Approved recipients will coordinate the details with the IID
