There is free tax preparation service available from AARP.

The AARP Foundation's Free Tax Aide program will provide free tax services for low to moderate-income individuals of all ages. No fee, and AARP membership is not required. The service is available Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Old Post Office Pavillion in El Centro. You need to bring W-2 forms, 1099's, Property Tax records, prior year tax returns and state and federal forms as well. Even if you are not required to file, you may be eligible for Earned Income Credit, Child Tax Credit or other Credits if you file.
