(Outgoing El Centro Mayor honored)... A ceremony was held at the El Centro City Council meeting Wednesday.

Council Member Sonia Carter was celebrated with a list of her accomplishment and a long line of local, state and federal dignitaries celebrating her tenure as Mayor of El Centro in 2025. Carter accepted the plaques, accolades and certificates with a humble smile, but she remained very quiet.
