(The Homicide was reported in Brawley on January 8)...A five-year-old child was murdered.

A suspect was arrested after the initial investigation. Taken into custody was 24-year-old Isaac Elizondo, the boyfriend of the victim's mother. Further investigation has determined the child's mother, Leia Lentz, was also a person connected to the death of her son. Investigators thoroughly examined evidence leading up to the death of the child and determined there was probable cause to arrest Lentz for charges related to the murder. The woman was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon. Investigators say anyone with any additional information regarding this incident are encouraged to contact the Brawley Police Department
