(County Sheriff's Office trying to identify a human leg).....It was found in December.

Deputies in the Salton City area were called in the late afternoon December 21st. They responded to a report of suspicious circumstances. When they arrived at the scene they found a human leg. The incident was turned over to the Sheriff's Investigations Unit. They scoured the area, but no other body parts could be found. Officials say they have not been able to identify the leg. All aspects of the investigation are still underway. At this point investigators are requesting the publics assistance They are looking for anyone aware of a missing person, or someone traveling through the area and has not been heard from, should contact law enforcement. They say any information, no matter how minor, could be very helpful.
