The California Highway Patrol is investigating a Saturday night accident.

The collision occurred on Even Hewes Highway just east of Forrester Road at about 9:30 p.m. A driver reported that they had just hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was flown to a trauma center by REACH Air Ambulance. Traffic on Even Hewes Highway was diverted for over two hours while emergency crews worked at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
