El Centro Police found a semi-automatic hand gun during a search of a building.

On Friday morning conducted a patrol check of a building in the 300 block of W. State Street after observing several people entering and leaving the unoccupied property. The property owner confirmed that no one had permission to be in the building. A search of the premises turned up the handgun.
