The Imperial County Public Health Department has earned national accreditation through the Public Health Accreditation Board.

The accreditation is a rigorous, voluntary process that recognizes health departments that meet national, evidence-based standards for delivering public health services. Janette Angulo, Director of the Imperial County Public Health Department said. "  Achieving national accreditation is a significant milestone for our department and for Imperial County. This recognition shows our community that we are committed to quality, accountability, and public health standards." The accreditation is for five years.
