The California Highway Patrol Academy graduation last week saw three El Centro residents complete their training.

Marco Lara of El Centro, a 2019 graduate of Southwest High School before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State, has been assigned to the CHP Marin Area office.

Alex Lopez. a 2021 graduate of Southwest High School, hs been assigned to the Santa Fe Springs Area office. His brother currently serves as a CHP officer in the same office. 

Adrian Marin, a Southwest High School graduate, has been assigned to the Winterhaven Area office. Prior to attending the CHP Academy, Marin served as a Correctional Officer for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
