(*IID and Heber Public Utility partner)...They are going to bring a new Walking Path to Heber's most traveled corridor.

The project is part of the Imperial Irrigation District's Connect Initiative. They are partnering to transform a heavily traveled right-of-way in Heber into a dedicated walking path. The project is designed to improve safety for students who walk to school along Dogwood Road, one of the community's most used pedestrian areas, while enhancing the overall appearance and accessibility of the neighborhood. The project is funded in part from a grant  from the federal Economic and Infrastructure Development from the Southwest Border Regional Commission, Additional in-kind support will be provided by the Imperial Irrigation District, Heber Public Utility and Citizens Energy Corporation
