Friday the Imperial County announced the results of a comprehensive workforce and economic Development study conducted by the Rand Corporation, over the past 18 months. Rand was awarded the contract for the study in April of last year. It was paid for through a California Employment Development Department grant. The report outlines a clear path for transforming Lithium Valley into one of the most significant clean energy, domestic supply of critical minerals, and advanced manufacturing hubs in the United States. The full report will be available the first week of December on RAND's website as well as on the County of Imperial website, LithiumValley.ca.
