The City of El Centro will host the Third Annual First Responders Wall Engraving Ceremony.

The event is held in observance of National First Responders Day on Saturday, October 25, 2025. This year's ceremony will mark the largest group of honorees to date.

The City of El Centro invites residents, families, and friends to attend the event as the names are permanently engraved on the wall.

On this year's list are:

Nicanor O. Benevides, Imperial County Fire Department, Stanley W. Armstrong, David Gomez, Alex Romero, Charles C. Kelley and Stephen D. Wilson, all from the El Centro Fire Department. 

Kenneth E. Ray of the Brawley Fire Department.

Ernesto Celis, Imperial County Fire Department.

Christopher R. Hall, Calipatria Fire Department.

Steve Mesick, California Department of Fish and Game.

Angie Cuevas-Maso, U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Harold D. Carter, Imperial County Sheriff's Office.

Manuel E. Ruan, Calipatria State Prison.

James L. Speer, Calipatria Police Department.

Eric P. Hackett, Calexico Police Department.

John seaman and Eddie S. Madueno, El Centro Police Department.

The ceremony will begin at 9:00 a.m. at First Responders Park on Waterman Avenue by El Centro Fire Station #3.
