It doesn't pay to ride your bicycle after dark without the proper reflective equipment.
On Tuesday night, Imperial County Sheriff's Deputies stopped a bicycle rider in Winterhaven who wasn't properly equipped. The man refused to provide identification to deputies. He was then arrested for obstructing/delaying an investigation. The man later told deputies he refused to identify himself because he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. A search of the suspect found 34 grams of methamphetamine and a record check revealed he has prior drug convictions. The man was booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Sell, Transportation of Methamphetamine as well as the Obstructing/Delaying charge. Apparently no outstanding warrants were found.
