(IID to celebrate Public Power Week)...The special week runs from October 5 through October 11.

The Imperial Irrigation District will celebrate by highlighting opportunities for customers and stakeholders to engage with their community-owned utility and learn about the many customer focused programs and services. The IID says the week is recognized from the 5th thru the 11th, but the public power celebration will continue all month. For the second year, the IID is offering power customers the incentive to receive double value rebates through its popular Energy Rewards Program. During Public Power Week, customers are invited to visit various location to learn about programs offered by the district, engage with staff and enjoy snacks. Monday they will be at 125 South Plaza in Brawley. Tuesday October 7 it will be in La Quinta. On Wednesday they will be  at 301 Imperial Avenue in Calexico. On October 9th they will be at 1285 Broadway in El Centro and on Friday October 10th they will be at 333 East Barioni in Imperial.
