The National Weather Service (NWS) says that shower and thunderstorm chances will pick up this weekend.

While temperatures will dip to below normal levels starting Saturday there is a 30 per cent chance of showers Saturday between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and a 10 per cent chance of precipitation Saturday evening before 8:00 p.m. NWS says, if the storms develop, we could see gusty winds, lightening and brief heavy rainfall. Beginning Sunday and continuing into next week the Imperial Valley should see daytime highs in the low 90's with overnight lows in the upper 60's to low 70's.
