(Imperial County SELPA Community Advisory Committee Honors 2025 Excellence Award recipients)....The Imperial County Special Education Local Plan Area Community Advisory Committee announced the awards this week.

The Ben Croutch Inclusion Excellence Award went to Heber Elementary School District Superintendent Juan Cruz. The Harold Burnworth Transition Excellence Award was presented to Giovanna Wells, an education specialist at Desert View High School in Brawley. The George and Audrey McFadden Community Partnership Excellence Award recipient was Joab Gonzalez the Assistant Director at tthe San Diego Regional Center for his outstanding collaboration and commitment to serving individuals with disabilities in Imperial valley.
