(Two Earthquakes reported late Monday night)....The US Geological Survey said both quakes hit in the same basic area.

The first was recorded at 11:42 Monday night. It was recorded as a magnitude 4.4 and was centered about 79 miles South of Mexicali. The second temblor was recorded at 11:46 pm in the same basic area as the first. It was recorded as a magnitude 3.1. No damage or injury has been reported.
