(County Board of Supervisors adopt an Emergency Proclamation in Imperial County)....It was adopted at the Board meeting Tuesday.

It covers the recent back to back severe storms Sunday and Mon day.. The local proclamation leads to a state proclamation of emergency  which would qualify the county for state and federal support to cover the damage repairs resulting from the storms. The storms caused etensive flooding, road damage and a lot more resulting from over 60 mile per hour winds. The Imperial Irrigation District alone experienced 288 damaged power poles. More than 8,459 IID customers experienced a loss of power. Most have been restored. The IID said by Wednesday afternoon there were only 148 customers without power. They expect to have all power restored soon.
