The National Weather Service (NWS) has extended the Extreme Heat Warning for the Imperial Valley.

According to the weather service, expect hot conditions to continue through early next week with widespread moderate to major heat risk anticipated. Daytime highs are expected to range from 110 to 115 through Tuesday. Heat index values may make it feel even warmer. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid-80's. Residents are advised to be aware of the risks associated with the heat and to check on neighbors and pets. Limit outdoor activities during the extreme heat and stay hydrated.
