(IID customers are being targeted)...Scammers are calling Imperial Irrigation District customers.

The scammers are using a fake 760 867 0848 numbers. They are falsely claiming to be from the IID and threatening immediate disconnection unless payment is made. The District says they never demand payment over the phone and they will never demand same day disconnection without prior written notice. Never share any credit card or other banking information with anyone over he phone claiming to be from the IID. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and call IID customer service directly at 1 800 303 7756 to verify.
