(Wilson Jr. High School 1976 Time Capsule)....It was created by teacher Margaret Mitchell and her students.

The capsule includes 64 items including a letter from then El Centro Mayor Dale Gares. The time capsule is set to be opened in the year 2076. The City of El Centro has agreed to move the Time Capsule to the Imperial Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce Headquarters at 1095 South 4th Street in El Centro. The IVRCC was at the El City Council meeting to request the relocation. With them was Julie Popejoy, a former Wilson Jr. High School Student from the original project. She shared the Time Capsule's historic importance. A Time Capsule relocation ceremony will be held in August or September. of this year.
