(Jersey Mike's in El Centro held a fundraiser)...It lasted a month.

The fundraiser ended Wednesday, March 26th with 100% of the day's sales going to the shelter. The totals have been tallied. Jersey Mike's raised $12,500. The entire amount is being donated to the Humane Society of Imperial County. Devon Apodaca, executive director of the shelter, called the donation monumental and a lifesaver for the shelter. The timing was perfect leading into the summer months. The funds will be used to cover critical medical and veterinary expenses for the sick and injured animals rescued from the streets.
