(Milestone Marked)....Completion of Phase one of the New River Improvement Project.

A Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held Friday marking the milestone. The event was attended by Calexico City officials, along with several state officials from various agencies. Phase one took several years to complete at a cost of $49.9 million. The project included a trash screen and diversion structure, bypass encasement infrastructure and a pump back systems.
