With winds forecast to reach as high as 47 miles per hour, the City of El Centro decided to postpone the event scheduled for the downtown El Centro. According to the press release from the city, the high winds would create issues including the risk of vendor canopies becoming unstable, dust impacting food, portable restrooms being blown over and using the El Centro Fire Department ladder truck for the water feature would be unsafe. The city said that the will schedule the event to a later ate and time.
