It was shades of the Old West in Yuma. Shortly before 9:00 p.m. Thursday night,

Yuma County Sheriff's deputies responded to the report of gunshots in the 15-700 block of S. Rincon de Espana. An initial investigation determined that a man showed up at a residence and began shooting at the occupied house. One of those occupants returned fire. No one was hit by any of the bullets. With the assistance of the Border Patrol and Somerton Police, deputies were able to locate the suspect hiding in an overgrown mesquite tree. The suspect, Jose Jesus Ochoa, 72, of Yuma, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention center on multiple charges to include Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
