(Pilot project began in September)....That is good news for jurors.

Imperial County Superior Court is participating in the pilot project per day, beginning the second day of jury service. Under the project, jurors receive $100. Juror mileage reimbursement also has gone up from .34 cents to 67 cents per mile under the project. The Pilot Project was created under Assembly Bill 1981 and is designed to entice residents to report for jury duty. Jurors are an essential part of the judicial system. Imperial is one of 7 California Counties participating in the project. The Pilot Project is set to end in early 2026.
