(Two vehicle collision reported Wednesday)....Yuma County Sheriff's Deputy's responded to the call at 4:45 Wednesday afternoon.

Two vehicles had collided on South Avenue 36E and East County 11th Street in Wellton. Initial reports are that a 2007 Ford 500 was traveling north, when it veered into the southbound lane to pass a slower vehicle. For undetermined reasons, the Ford failed to return to the northbound lanes after completing the pass. The Ford collided head-on with a southbound 3017 Dodge Ram 2500. Life saving measures were performed on the 24 year old driver of the Ford, but to no avail. Kevin Espinoza was pronounced dead at the scene. Espinoza was the only occupant in the Ford. The driver of the Dodge Ram was airlifted to a Phoenix area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver was the sole occupant in the Dodge. The incident remains under investigation.
