(Calexico id celebrating their anniversary)...It is the 117th anniversary for the border city.

They are celebrating with a series of events. They started last Saturday with an Easter Egg Event. It will end on April 17th with a Time Capsule Opening Ceremony. It will be held at the City Hall. The Time Capsule is 30 years old. The free event will run from 4 pm to 7 pm. Food vendors will be on site. The family friendly entertainment includes; Calexico High School Mariachi Centinela. the Bulldog Drumline, Calexico Recreation Folkloric Dancers, Calexico Recreation Polynesian Dance, Calexico Recreation Hula Dance, and Imperial Valley Jazz
