(Brawley City Council meets Tuesday).....The council convenes at 5:30 Tuesday evening.

The council is expected to accept a donation of over $45,600 from the Brawley Public Library Bard of Trustess. It will be presented by Petra Ortega, Library Manager. They will discuss a request from the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Brawley and the Brawley Cattle Call Queen Royalty Association to close Main Street between North and South Plaza for the IV International Brisket Cook-off, waive all fees associated with the event and permit the sale of alcohol during the event. They will also discuss extending the NV5 contract another year, incresing the contract by $85,000 for continued Professional Engineering Services. The Council will meet in the Council chambers on Main Street in Brawley.
