(San Diego County Sheriff's Deputies were looking for a wanted man)....They were looking for a 40- year- old man wanted on assault charges.

They went to his home in Jacumba Monday. The Deputies had members of the Swat Team with them. When they arrived the found balls of rusty nails tied together in the yard, along with scrap wood with screws sticking out of it. They had gone to serve a warrant. Inside the home they found guns, homemade explosives and more booby traps. They did not, however, find the suspect who was wanted for shooting a neighbor with a pellet gun. After searching the home, the suspect was finally found hiding inside a wall. The Sheriff's Office Bomb and Arson unit was called in to dismantle the explosives. The suspect was arrested on the warrant. His girlfriend was also arrested on suspicion of obstructing and delaying a peace officer. However, she was eventually cited and released.
